Plork

The Coffee is named after the different streets in Gothenburg where it is Roasted!

Last week I went to the private view of a graphic design competition run by Plork. The concept was to pick a piece of music and interpret it into a T shirt design. All of the submissions were displayed and the winning ones printed for sale! Nice idea and the venue was even nicer- Da Matteo's Sourdough bakery!! There was wine and enough delicious sourdough for everyone and even a free hat which I look a bit silly in, but that doesn't matter. All in all it was a lovely evening spent chatting with new friends in the beautiful exposed brick, candlelit building. I couldn't resist taking a few snaps but unfortunately forgot to take one of the amazing selection of breads!

Da Matteo bakes wonderful bread, serves the best coffee in Gothenburg- although I dont drink it so I can neither confirm nor deny this but so I'm told! & even run coffee courses. They have a lovely website and a blog and the owner even wrote a book!

Next time I will go and sample the sourdough pizza! I wonder if it's as good as Franco Manca's In Brixton!
