For the tourist version complete with me you can go here
School is amazing! My heart did a little leap when I saw the textiles department (I'll show you another time) there are I don't even know how many weaving looms, huge! taller than me, and about 10 knitting machines ready to go. Sewing machines, supplies and silkscreens 4 times the size of any I've ever printed with before! The wood workshops are huge and have some things I've never seen or used before, the metal and jewellery departments are so good and the library- ohhh the library, it's so so wonderful, the little pink index cards which I thought were extinct! little wooden steps for reaching the high shelves, and the most charming desks and lamps! (I think I will wear the exclamation mark off the keyboard from using it so much but honestly I can't stop)
The studio has beautiful big windows and we have been given a lovely desk to call our own. & the best part of all- we can go there 24/7. On Friday night we were invited to a party in our studios to welcome everyone. So much Pizza, which the lovely Swedish girls arranged and chocolate and beers. Crabbies for me to remind me of Bryony! Purchased from the government off license- Systembolaget, which I find very strange. Not as strange as being at school at almost 11pm on a friday night drinking beers and hanging out. But nice strange, in fact maybe the best kind of strange.
I could probably gush all day long about how smitten I am with this place, and I am all too aware that this 3 months will probably pass by without me noticing and soon I'll be packing up my desk and heading back to London again.
