Heidi (pronounced the Finnish way-haydee not Hiidee! which I sometimes forget!) and I got up early and took the four and half hour trainride together. You can buy tickets without reserving a seat which we did and then proceeded to spend the entire journey crossing our fingers at every stop that noone would ask us to move. Here they don't mark the reserved seats so you only find out once they get on board. Apparently we made a good choice though and whilst everyone else around us was moving and shuffling around we managed to stay put the whole way there phew. Next time for the piece of mind I'll maybe just pay the extra so I don't have to fret!
We arrived in Stockholm central station and were greeted with the kind of hustle and bustle I'm familiar with back home
We shared delicious pizza in the Old town
Can you see the zooooming snow! it was SOO cold, colder than Gothenburg for sure
Heidi thawing out slowly!
The place was full of paintings & signed pictures of stars who've dined there, my favorite bit was the oil burning lamps and gingham table cloths
We also visited this amazing Chocolate shop and I sampled a truly scrumptious pistachio something or other!
Lots more pictures to share from the furniture fair and the old town but not tonight! (tonight is not actually tonight anyhow since tomorrow the 17th I'm receiving a VIP so I'm scheduling a few posts, this one included! as I'll be too busy. Hopefully it works!)
