In just under two weeks the international film festival starts here in Gothenburg, and for two weeks there are a million and one films to see and seminars to attend!
After grappling with the website and trying to find the english programme for a few days I sadly missed out on The Black Swan which is already completely sold out! I really really love Aranofsky . Requiem for a dream is probably one of the best films I've ever seen, so I'll have to hold out for the DVD release of The Black Swan.
Nevermind though, there are lots of other things I want to see I've made a shortlist of 15 in fact! but at 70sek each I don't think I'll be able to make it to all of them!
Top of my list are
&
I watched the trailer for Exit through the gift shop (the banksy movie)too and if the trailer is anything to go by then it looks terrible, but somehow I still want to see it, weird!
I know, I know all of these are in English! perhaps I'm missing home a bit today? I feel like I should go and see something Swedish but I don't know much (anything!) about Swedish cinema and sort of just want to see things I know I'll love! I've bookmarked Norwegian wood too - it's not Swedish but it's not English either so maybe that counts for something! ha
Also is it just me or does the film festival logo look a lot like the welsh dragon?!
If it wasn't the most- in fact only- miserable day since my arrival I would probably go and buy my tickets today but my tram card is empty and I just downloaded the first series of madmen so I think I'll stay home today.
